Tretiva-20 MG Capsules is a natural derivative of vitamin A and is used for the treatment of severe (nodular) acne that is not reactive to other therapies.
Tretiva-20 MG Capsule belongs to a category of chemical compounds called retinoids. This drug helps in the treatment of cystic acne or nodular acne that has not previously responded to any other type of treatment. It lowers the production of face oil and prevents the skin from hardening. If acne is not treated properly it can cause permanent scarring.
Using Tretiva-20 MG Capsules the following side effects may occur: dry skin around the lips and mouth, nosebleeds, stomach upset, hair loss. If these reactions continue or worsen over time, notify your doctor immediately. However, it is recommended that you take preventive measures before taking Tretiva-20 MG Capsules and consult your doctor if:
You are taking prescription or over-the-counter medications, vitamins, herbal or dietary supplements.
You are allergic to the ingredients contained in this drug or you are allergic to any other medicine, especially drugs containing vitamin A.
You are allergic to foods, especially peanuts or soy.
You have a medical or family history of diabetes, liver disease, eating disorder, mental disorder, or reduced bone density.
You are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding.
You have hearing problems, bowel problems, or irregular periods.
Some medications may interact with Tretiva-20 MG Capsule and have some adverse effects, in such cases care should be taken to have a discussion with your doctor. Take Tretiva 20 MG Capsules as prescribed. The Tretiva 20 MG capsule is available in capsule form and must be swallowed with a glass of water. You could have it with ours without food. It must be taken twice a day for a minimum of four to five months. In case of a missed dose, try taking it as soon as you remember it or skip it entirely. Absolutely do not try to have a double dose. In case of drug overdose inform your doctor promptly. It may take a few weeks for the results to start showing.
