Testomix is an injectable veterinary steroid preparation that contains a blend of five different testosterone esters. Each milliliter contains 30 mg of testosterone acetate, 55 mg of testosterone propionate, 85 mg of testosterone cypionate, 100 mg of testosterone undecanoate and 55 mg of testosterone phenylpropionate, for a total steroid concentration of 325 mg / ml. This is currently the only commercial steroid product available that contains the testosterone blend, which is a short to medium-acting ester with a half-life approximately double that of testosterone propionate. With its blend of slow-acting and fast-acting esters, Testomix is essentially a low-dose alternative to Sustanon, although, given the use of testosterone undecanoate, it will act longer with more unbalanced pharmacokinetics.
Testo-mix contains a mixture of five testosterone compounds, which have been modified by adding esters of carboxylic acids (acetate, propionate, cypionate, undecanoate and phenylpropionate) to the 17-beta hydroxyl group. Esterified forms of testosterone are less polar than free testosterone and are absorbed more slowly from the injection area. Once in the bloodstream, the ester is removed to produce free (active) testosterone. Esterified forms of testosterone are designed to extend the therapeutic effect window after administration, allowing for a less frequent injection pattern than free (non-esterified) steroid injections.
For bodybuilding purposes, Testo-mix is usually injected at least once a week, in a dosage of 120-360mg (2-6ml). Divide the weekly dose into two or more
smaller applications can reduce the injection volume. Cycles are typically between 6 and 12 weeks in length. This level is sufficient to provide significant gains in muscle size and strength. Testosterone-based drugs are extremely versatile and can be combined with many other anabolic / androgenic steroids depending on the desired effect.
Testo-mix is not recommended for women for performance enhancing purposes due to its strong androgenic nature, tendency to produce virilizing side effects and slow acting characteristics (making blood levels difficult to control).
All anabolic / androgenic steroids taken in doses sufficient to promote muscle gain are expected to suppress endogenous testosterone production. Testosterone is the primary male androgen and offers strong negative feedback on endogenous testosterone production. Testosterone drugs will also have a strong effect on the hypothalamic regulation of natural steroid hormones. Without the intervention of testosterone-stimulating substances, testosterone levels should return to normal within 1-4 months of drug secretion. It should be noted that prolonged hypogonadotropic hypogonadism can develop following steroid abuse, requiring medical intervention.
